Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to keep smiles healthy
• Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure smooth patient experiences
• Screen patients for oral diseases and conditions, helping with early detection

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene License
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Experience with dental software and digital radiography is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
• Skilled in dental prophylaxis and scaling/root planing
• Proficient in infection control and sterilization protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach
• Attention to detail in all aspects of care
