Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to postpartum patients and their newborns
• Monitor and support high-risk antepartum patients on the unit
• Assist new mothers with breastfeeding, newborn care, and recovery education
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Meditech
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will NOT be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Proven experience in antepartum, postpartum, and newborn nursery care
• Ability to work every other weekend
• RNC-OB or Advanced FM experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation
• Knowledge of high-risk antepartum care protocols
• Newborn nursery care and procedures
• IV placement skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
