Registered Nurse - PCU/Med Surg/Oncology Travel

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients
Monitor and titrate drips like insulin, cardizem, and heparin as needed
Administer chemotherapy and manage chemo-certified patients
Collaborate with PT, OT, case managers, and social workers for holistic care
Float to med-surg and PCU units within your skill set
Perform hourly rounding and engage with patients to ensure comfort and safety
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required at start
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Comfortable with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and Alaris pumps
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced unit
Chemotherapy administration and safe handling
PCU-level monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz
Trauma and med-surg nursing skills
Proficiency with IV pumps and EPIC EHR
Ability to titrate common cardiac drips
Strong communication and cultural competence
