Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to PCU/IMC patients across a variety of specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, and surgical
• Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and heparin with confidence
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes, and respond quickly to ensure optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Float to different units within the zone, bringing your skills where they are needed most
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• 2+ years of PCU/IMC experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required
• Must be comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and heparin
• Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred but not required
• Ability to float to various acuity levels including ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and drip titration skills
• Experience with medications like insulin, Ativan, and heparin
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Neuro assessment and monitoring abilities
• Adaptability and teamwork in a fast-paced float pool environment
• Compassionate care for diverse adult and geriatric populations
