Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/IMC patients across a variety of specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, and post-surgical
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1, adapting quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Monitor and assess patients in a 1:3-4 ratio, adjusting care based on acuity
• Document patient progress accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active RN license (License to Submit required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and Ativan required
• Comfortable titrating and managing heparin and other titratable drips
• Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in PCU/IMC nursing, including telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and drip titration
• Ability to rapidly adapt to different units, specialties, and facility protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Knowledge of adult and geriatric patient populations
• Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, float-pool environment
