Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, patient education, and home safety training to help patients regain independence
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate strengthening programs and therapeutic activities tailored to each patient's needs
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in program development and clinical education to elevate the standard of care
• Support patients with neuromuscular and orthopedic disorders through aquatic therapy and adaptive equipment training

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Dry Needling Certification or education, if performing dry needling procedures
• Previous direct patient care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab settings preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Epic
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and float to other areas as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical reasoning in neuromuscular and orthopedic rehabilitation
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
• Knowledge of ADL retraining, adaptive equipment, and compensation techniques
• Experience with aquatic therapy and neuromuscular re-education
• Skilled in accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems
