Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients
• Develop personalized treatment plans to meet each patient's unique goals
• Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication and swallowing skills
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and adjust treatments to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for continued improvement

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license or ability to obtain one
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• New graduates and experienced SLPs are welcomed to apply
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong clinical judgment and a passion for helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interaction
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
• Evidence-based practice and current therapeutic techniques
• Time management and organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively
