Speech Language Pathologist - SLP
Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients
- Develop personalized treatment plans to meet each patient's unique goals
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication and swallowing skills
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and adjust treatments to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and strategies for continued improvement
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license or ability to obtain one
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- New graduates and experienced SLPs are welcomed to apply
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong clinical judgment and a passion for helping others
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interaction
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
- Evidence-based practice and current therapeutic techniques
- Time management and organizational skills to manage a caseload effectively
