Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for side effects and changes in condition
• Assess residents' physical and emotional status and respond promptly to changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Document care provided in a timely, thorough manner to ensure continuity and compliance
• Support a safe, secure environment within the locked memory care units
• Communicate with families and caregivers to keep them informed and engaged

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred)
• Experience or strong interest in Alzheimer's and dementia care
• Ability to work the evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM and rotate 4 days on, 2 days off
• Completion of COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption
• A positive, flexible attitude and a passion for caring for seniors

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medication administration, nursing assessments, and electronic charting
• Understanding of dementia-related behaviors and de-escalation techniques
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Adaptability to work in a secured, memory care environment
