Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide individualized physical therapy assessments and treatments to help patients restore function and mobility
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapy team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Educate patients and families on safe movement, exercise programs, and fall prevention
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and outcomes
• Contribute to a positive, encouraging environment that supports healing and independence

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Maine or eligibility to obtain one before start
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or outpatient settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
• Skill in developing therapeutic exercise and manual therapy interventions
• Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to diverse patient needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
