Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and intervene promptly when changes occur
• Float across multiple facilities in Zone 4, seamlessly adapting to different units and patient populations
• Administer medications, including titratable drips like heparin, and manage IV therapies
• Document accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on their conditions and care plans
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary staff to ensure the best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or a compact state
• 2+ years of medical-surgical/telemetry experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA required)
• Experience with EPIC and Alaris preferred
• Neuro experience a plus
• Willing to float and work in a dynamic environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to manage a patient load of 5-6 based on acuity
• Comfort with floating to ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• Proficient in EPIC charting and Alaris IV pumps
• Knowledge of heparin and other common drips
• Excellent critical thinking and adaptability
