Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Alzheimer's & Dementia Care
Location: Moses Lake, WA
Start Date: 09-01-2026
End Date: 11-30-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, evening shift (4 on / 2 off rotation)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the care team
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report changes
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and aides to create personalized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while preserving their dignity
- Educate families about care strategies and safety precautions
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Washington State or a compact state nurse license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or memory care is a plus
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work a full-time evening rotation, including weekends
- Completed COVID-19 vaccine series or a documented exemption per facility policy
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and accurate documentation
- Understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia care best practices
- Comfort using electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing resident needs
