Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: Kearney, NE
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry
- Titrate intravenous drips including Heparin, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Participate in patient experience initiatives focusing on responsiveness and communication
- Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU acuity patients
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Competence in arterial lines and high flow oxygen
- Experience with telemetry interpretation and drip titration
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to titrate multiple drips safely
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and interventions
