Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times, primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call one night every six weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor vital signs and manage pain levels with precision and compassion
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth recoveries
Care for a diverse caseload including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate when needed
Document thoroughly in Epic EMR to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum 1-2 years of ED or ICU experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills for Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Epic EMR for charting and order management
Understanding of nurse-to-patient ratios (1:2) and safe staffing practices
Ability to read telemetry strips and manage ICU-level patients in PACU
Experience with common PACU equipment and respiratory support
