Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
• Assist the surgical team in the operating room, maintaining a safe and sterile environment
• Monitor patient vital signs and promptly respond to any changes during procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Advocate for the unique physical and emotional needs of children and their families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in an operating room setting is strongly preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Great communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced situations
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
