Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures in the OR
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields for surgeries
• Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia recovery throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe outcomes
• Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly
• Support patients and families before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and organized surgical environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Operating room experience preferred; pediatric OR experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• CNOR certification is nice to have

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of surgical aseptic techniques
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Skilled in patient monitoring and emergency response
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and flexibility in a dynamic setting
