Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in a busy 11-suite operating room
• Circulate and support 15 to 30 cases per day across ortho, neuro, general and trauma specialties
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios that let you focus on the person in front of you
• Chart confidently in Cerner and Surginet
• Prepare each case using surgeon preference cards
• Partner closely with CSTs, the charge RN and anesthesia to keep cases moving safely
• Provide telemetry and ventilator support for higher acuity surgical patients
• Take part in the call rotation and respond within 30 minutes when on call
• Help new team members feel at home through shared knowledge and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license with the ability to practice in California
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
• At least 2 years of operating room RN experience
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes while on call
• Comfort working in a trauma and CVOR-adjacent surgical environment
• BSN not required, so your hands-on experience is what matters most
• A team-first attitude and a love for the OR

Education

• Equipment Used: Sterad, Steris 1, washer disinfection, and steam disinfection.
• Duties: Decontamination, clean packaging, sterile processing.
• Shifts: 8hr variable start time. Saturdays are possible.
• Specialty: OR RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating room circulating experience
• Cerner and Surginet EMR proficiency
• Sterile processing knowledge and sterile technique
• Familiarity with CVOR and trauma cases is a nice bonus
• Preference card accuracy and case preparation
• Telemetry and ventilator patient care
• Strong communication with surgeons, CSTs and the charge RN
• Calm, organized decision making in fast-paced surgical settings
