Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on therapy treatments that help patients regain strength, mobility and confidence
• Carry out individualized care plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches and functional training
• Track patient progress and document treatments accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies
• Collaborate closely with PTs, OTs and support staff to keep care coordinated and compassionate
• Keep treatment areas clean, organized and ready for every patient who walks through the door

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS certification
• New graduates are warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply
• A patient-first mindset and a genuine love for helping people move better
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and modalities
• Comfort documenting in an electronic medical record system
• Ability to adapt treatments to each patient's unique goals and ability level
• Clear, kind communication with patients, families and coworkers
• Time management skills that keep a full patient schedule running smoothly
• Willingness to learn and grow alongside an experienced therapy team
