Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility programs
• Track progress toward goals and document treatment outcomes accurately and on time
• Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, and speech therapy teammates to coordinate care
• Educate residents and families on safe techniques and home exercise routines
• Help residents rebuild strength and confidence so they can return to the activities they love

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Maine
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS certification
• Skilled nursing or rehab experience is a plus, but new grads with strong clinicals are welcome to apply
• A compassionate, team-first attitude and genuine care for the people you treat

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grasp of therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and mobility training
• Comfort with electronic documentation and rehab outcome tracking
• Clear communication with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team
• Strong time management across a full day of treatments
• Patience, empathy, and a good sense of humor on busy days
