Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate a wide range of laboratory tests on patient specimens to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
• Deliver dependable results in blood banking, microbiology, and core clinical testing areas
• Provide supervision and guidance for designated areas of the laboratory
• Operate and maintain advanced analyzers including Sysmex, Ortho, Vitros, and GenExpert platforms
• Document and chart results accurately using Meditech Magic and EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to keep patient care moving
• Jump in wherever the lab needs you, from specimen processing to quality control

Qualifications

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technologist MLT/MT with ASCP or AMT certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• At least 2 years of recent laboratory experience
• Comfortable working independently during portions of your shift
• Willing to rotate through day, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
• A team player with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for patient care

Education

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technologist MLT/MT(ASCP or AMT), BLS required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines
• Patient specimen analysis and quality control
• Blood banking including gel tube methodology
• Microbiology testing and organism identification
• Hands-on experience with Sysmex 4000, 1000, and 1500 analyzers
• Rapidlabs, Ortho 5600, Vitros eCI, Vitros 350, and Roche U411 instrumentation
• GenExpert and Advanced Instrument Micro Osmometer operation
• Meditech Magic with microbiology and blood bank modules
• EPIC charting system familiarity
• Laboratory supervision and workflow coordination
