Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome young patients and their families with a warm, reassuring smile
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments so every visit runs smoothly
• Assist the dentist chairside during exams, cleanings, and restorative procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs while keeping safety top of mind
• Keep patients comfortable and calm, especially our littlest ones
• Document treatment notes accurately in the practice management system
• Help educate parents on home care and follow up instructions

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or state registration where required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography/X-ray certification preferred
• Experience in a dental office, pediatric experience is a big plus
• Comfort working with children and teens in a fast paced clinical setting
• Strong communication skills and a genuinely caring approach to patient care
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a full shift

Knowledge & Skills

• Chairside assisting techniques and four handed dentistry
• Dental terminology, charting, and record keeping
• Infection control and sterilization best practices
• Dental radiography and digital imaging basics
• Patient rapport building with kids and anxious patients
• Teamwork and a flexible, can do attitude
• Time management during a busy clinic day
