Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 12-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights including 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 3:00 PM-7:00 PM, 7:00 PM-11:00 PM, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM, and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population on a combined Oncology PCU and Med/Surg unit
Monitor and manage patients receiving chemotherapy and titratable drips like insulin and cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers to ensure holistic care
Float to other PCU and Med/Surg units as needed, maintaining the same high standard of care
Champion patient safety with hourly rounding and adherence to evidence-based protocols
Mentor and support fellow nurses, fostering a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Great attitude and willingness to be part of a supportive, high-functioning team
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and ONS/ONCC certification
Expertise in ACLS and BLS
Comfort with EPIC electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps
Understanding of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
