Registered Nurse - Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries
- Monitor 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle neurological changes
- Assess cranial nerves and maintain strong critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists during day shifts
- Float to MS/Tele units and support sister campuses as needed
- Maintain sterile field during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Qualifications
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred, Certified Med Surg/Tele preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
- Clean driving record within 50-mile radius
Education
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological conditions
- Comfortable with Bipap management and tele monitoring
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Familiarity with self-releasing velcro seat belts and restraint alternatives
