Roles & Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical monitoring at the unit level to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide patient, family, and staff education through established programs
• Develop, document, and implement Patient Teaching and Discharge Planning Records
• Identify and resolve unit, staff, and patient care problems, escalating to appropriate resources when needed
• Step in as charge RN to monitor productivity and patient flow when competent
• Precept and mentor newly hired nursing staff

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Mother/Baby nursing experience
• Comfortable managing a 1:8 patient ratio
• Active Maryland RN license or willingness to obtain before start
• Willing to obtain NIHSS and NRP certifications within 48 hours of offer
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Previous travel experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
