Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Float between MedSurg and Emergency Department to deliver seamless patient care
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent communication
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs and manage PICC lines and ports with confidence
Respond swiftly to codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis emergencies
Handle traumas and stabilize patients for higher-level transfer when needed
Read and document cardiac strips independently using Mindray monitors
Collaborate directly with hospitalists in a fast-paced rural setting

Qualifications

Current RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Experience with Meditech EMR a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Hamilton T1 ventilator, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Skilled in titrating multiple IV drips and managing cardiac monitoring
Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities for mixed acuity patients
Familiar with EMTALA regulations and flight transport coordination
Able to perform EKGs and interpret strips without monitor tech support
