Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor vital signs, recognizing changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and after-care instructions
• Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification (also known as CPR) required
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience is strongly preferred
• A passion for making a positive impact on patients and families

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit priorities
• Proficiency with EHR charting and standard medical equipment
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient safety
