Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other nurses to develop and adjust care plans
• Document patient progress and ensure accurate medical records
• Educate patients and families on post-hospital care and recovery strategies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and protocols
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Time management and prioritization skills for high-acuity patients
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards
