Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients with diverse health needs
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions while monitoring patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create personalized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient information thoroughly and respond quickly to changes in condition

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
• ACLS certification is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing practices and protocols
• Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and charting systems
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Adaptability to handle a variety of patient conditions
