Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to med/surg patients with a variety of conditions
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, escalating concerns as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices
• Skill in IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and charting
• Excellent patient assessment and care planning skills
• Team collaboration and patient education abilities
