Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly respond to changes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to high-quality patient care

• Med/Surg nursing best practices and protocols
• Patient assessment, monitoring, and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient advocacy
