Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 12-hour shifts (flexible days/nights as needed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Prior med/surg or acute care experience is a plus, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced patient care environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
- Knowledge of wound care, infection control, and patient safety practices
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
