Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Prior med/surg or acute care experience is a plus, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced patient care environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Knowledge of wound care, infection control, and patient safety practices
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family education
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
