Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to med/surg patients with diverse conditions
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, progress, and response to interventions accurately
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold infection prevention best practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Prior experience in med/surg or acute care preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations welcome
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work a per diem schedule and adapt to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med/surg nursing principles and best practices
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and medical technology
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
