Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population on our Med/Surg unit
• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments safely, while monitoring patient responses to interventions
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge self-care
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with physicians and other team members
• Advocate for your patients and ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg experience is a plus, but new grads with a passion for nursing are also welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit priorities

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices
• Proficiency in patient assessment and medication administration
• Skilled in using electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
• A caring, empathetic approach to patient care
