Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care for Med/Surg patients
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Monitor patient vitals and report changes to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association)
• Previous Med/Surg experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and assessment
• Medication administration (including IV therapy)
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Knowledge of electronic health records (e.g., EPIC)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and prioritization
