Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients on a med/surg/telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings, responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the EHR

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous med/surg or telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Pass a background check and drug screening

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
