Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to create and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred but not always required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and evidence-based practices
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
