Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document care in the electronic medical record clearly and comprehensively
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate seamless transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Hawaii or compact RN licensure as applicable
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and standards
• Proficiency with patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support unit goals
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation workflows
