Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a close-knit rural setting
- Perform expert triage assessments and serve as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse
- Titrate Pitocin drips to support safe and effective labor progression
- Collaborate with on-call providers to deliver timely, high-quality obstetric care
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn bonding with personalized attention
Qualifications
- Active Colorado or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications
- Comfortable functioning independently in LDRP and triage settings
- Willingness to float to med-surg on rare occasions
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong LDRP and triage expertise
- Pitocin titration proficiency
- OBIX fetal monitoring system experience
- Ability to manage low-volume, high-acuity rural births
- Excellent communication and independent decision-making skills
