Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Nights: Friday/Saturday, Days: Saturday/Sunday), rotating holidays, and possible on-call/standby with 30-minute response time

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and babies throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced EFM technology
Titrate medications such as Pitocin and insulin to support safe deliveries
Assist with C-sections in the OR and circulate when needed
Respond quickly to emergencies and provide NRP support at every delivery
Collaborate with OB physicians, anesthesia, and respiratory therapy for seamless patient care

Qualifications

Active California RN license
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN Advanced EFM certification
At least 1 year of LDRP experience (3 years preferred)
Comfortable catching babies and providing full-spectrum labor and delivery care
Willing to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN guidelines and fetal monitoring
Experience with twin deliveries and patients 35 weeks and above
Ability to manage laboring patients at 1:2 ratios and 1:1 during delivery
Skilled in OR circulating for C-sections when required
Confident providing NRP without in-house pediatric coverage
