Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, promptly recognizing and responding to changes
• Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions
• Educate and empower parents on newborn care, feeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or compact license eligible)
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Prior Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in maternal-fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and compassion
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
