Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, promptly identifying and responding to changes
• Assist with deliveries, including emergency interventions when needed
• Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, positive outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and maintain detailed records

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred
• Previous labor and delivery experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations

• Fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
