Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts); 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and respond to high-risk situations
- Assist with C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, and emergency procedures like C-hysterectomy
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and positive birth experiences
- Manage high-risk OB patients, including those requiring massive transfusion or with PASD (placenta accrete spectrum disorders)
- Support and educate patients and families through childbirth and recovery
Qualifications
- Current ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and CPI certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, with high-risk OB experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with electronic fetal monitoring and acute obstetric care
- Experience with massive transfusion and PASD is a nice-to-have
- Positive, engaged, and team-oriented personality fit
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in electronic fetal monitoring and obstetric nursing
- Knowledge of high-risk obstetrics, including maternal emergencies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to triage and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CPN and Meditech EMR systems
