Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs and conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Respond quickly and effectively to changing patient status and emergencies
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• ACLS certification required
• Previous ICU nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ICU protocols, equipment, and patient care standards
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
