Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based care
Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide patient care
Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
Manage advanced therapies such as CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ICP monitoring with real-time training available

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
Experience with or willingness to learn advanced hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000)
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Positive attitude, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
