Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions
- Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications to maintain patient stability
- Interpret telemetry strips and document findings to support real-time clinical decisions
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists managing patients from nasal cannula to ventilator support
- Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed while maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
- Respond promptly to on-call situations, arriving within 30 minutes when activated
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
- Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
- Valid driver's license for radius verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Cardiac, insulin, and sedation drip management
- Ventilator and respiratory equipment troubleshooting
- Patient assessment and critical thinking under pressure
- Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
