Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Deliver direct, compassionate care across the lifespan in the ICU
Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families
Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the care team
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Float to other departments as needed with appropriate training

Qualifications

Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license
Current BLS and ACLS certification required
PALS and NRP required within 12 months of hire
Minimum 3 years of experience in critical care or ICU
Ability to interpret EKGs and care for critically ill patients
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Patient education and health literacy support
Interdisciplinary collaboration
EKG interpretation
Critical care experience
Documentation in electronic health records
Supervision of ancillary team members
