Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule, rotating day and night shifts available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to trauma, neuro, and surgical ICU patients
Titrate complex medication drips including vasopressors, sedatives, and cardiac medications
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while caring for Level 1 trauma patients
Collaborate with intensivists and respiratory therapists in a 24/7 in-house model
Float between surgical, medical cardiac, and overflow ICUs as needed
Deliver compassionate care to patients experiencing sepsis, ARDS, post-cardiac surgery, and stroke recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license with 3 years of recent ICU experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with neuro or cardiovascular ICU patients preferred
Ability to pass UNA Dysrhythmia Exam and Sim Lab on Day 1
Comfortable floating to telemetry units with 1:3 or 1:4 ratios

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with titratable drips including Propofol, Levophed, Vasopressin, and Heparin
Experience with ventilators including Draeger, Hamilton, and Puritan Bennett 840
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills using GE monitors
Knowledge of trauma, neuro, and post-cardiac surgery patient populations
Ability to manage CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO patients
