Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to elderly patients with psychiatric conditions
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs
• Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately
• Respond to behavioral emergencies with de-escalation techniques
• Support patients and families through education and advocacy

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• Experience in psychiatric or geriatric nursing preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and respond to strike assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and treatments
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations
