Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the emergency department
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care interventions based on individual needs
• Respond quickly and efficiently to life-threatening situations and emergencies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (AHA) preferred
• Previous emergency department experience preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Knowledge of emergency nursing procedures, protocols, and equipment
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
