Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol while closely monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC
• Provide patient and family education on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate care as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California or compact state (as applicable)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• DCI/BVP certification as applicable
• EPIC proficiency required
• Previous emergency department or acute care experience preferred
• Willingness to work night shifts and per diem scheduling, including strike coverage

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of emergency nursing practices and triage protocols
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety standards
