Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR
• Maintain a calm, efficient, and safe environment during emergencies

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license in good standing
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
• TNCC and ENPC a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of emergency nursing principles and practices
• Skill in triaging and prioritizing patients effectively
• Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
• Comfort with emergency equipment such as defibrillators and monitors
• Accurate patient assessment and documentation
• Clear communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced situations
