Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem schedule, 12.5-hour shifts (day or night as available)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR
- Maintain a calm, efficient, and safe environment during emergencies
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license in good standing
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
- TNCC and ENPC a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of emergency nursing principles and practices
- Skill in triaging and prioritizing patients effectively
- Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Comfort with emergency equipment such as defibrillators and monitors
- Accurate patient assessment and documentation
- Clear communication with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced situations
